Friday Fight Night

Updated: Aug 6, 2019

Tomorrow night sees the eagerly anticipated promotional offering from Kieran Farrell's Viva La Vicious Promotions.

This is the first of three back to back shows that Kieran is hosting with the first taking place at the Middleton Arena.

The show itself is going to be an all round package with the four fight card plus a 30 minute concert from local band "The Fireflys" providing boxing fans with a great overall entertaining night.

First up is going to be Jake Haigh facing off against Middleton man and the current Central Area champion Darryl Sharp. There wont be a title on the line though as Darryl is stepping up to light heavyweight to take on Jake.

Haigh is looking to extend his unbeaten record with his last victory coming by TKO at the Oldham leisure centre back in July. Sharp will be looking to prepare himself for the proposed showdown with fellow Langley lad Matthew Ryan.

We spoke to Jake about the fight, hear what he had to say

Next up is Connor Lynch also from Langley who is making his professional debut in front of his home town fans, friends and family so the pressure will be on Connor to perform and he is in against a tough opponent in Dale Arrowsmith. Connor has boxed at the Middleton Arena before as an amateur so this experience will put him in good stead for the task ahead.

We caught up with Connor to see what his thoughts are about the pro debut

Kombat Lee Clayton aims to go on a winning streak as he takes on well known journyman Luke Fash. Clayton picked up a hard fought win in his last bout against Brett Fidoe and will be looking to continue this winning run with a view to a big fight by the end of the year.

In the main event of the evening we have Dylan "The Real Deal" Moran going up against Geiboord Omier. Moran is looking to extend his record to 2-0, and has had some great sparring for this bout against the likes of Liam Smith, Sam Eggington and Tyrone Nurse. Dylan also has a big following in his home country of Ireland with lots of people getting behind what looks to be a great boxing journey.
