Saturday night saw Frank Duffin promotions come to Blackburn and the Audley sports centre to bring the local support their hometown hero’s
The headline event was Shakeeb Ali going against Gyula Tallosi who came with the intention of trying to upset the local man. Tallosi came out of the blocks wildly and Ali had to weather the early pressure and used his boxing brain to pick off his opponent which led to an eventual stoppage in the third with a wicked body shot which prompted the referee to call a halt to the fight giving Ali his 7th professional victory.
We caught up with Shakeeb afterwards, listen to what he had to say.
Omar Dusary was going into his 6th pro outing after coming off the back of a draw with Ricky Starkey. He went in against the tough and durable Michael Barnor. Dusary controlled the pace of the fight using his natural boxing ability to outpoint Barnor over six rounds although in the final stanza Barnor caught Dusary with a left counter which appeared to hurt the local man, however Dusary was experienced enough to box his way out of the problem.
Dusary now moves to 5-1 and is looking to move on in 2018, hear what he said us to afterwards
Alex Mccloy extended his unbeaten record to 10-0 after a tough six round bout against Victor Edagha who was a tricky customer for Mccloy, however Alex was able to utilise the jab and and landed some great combinations which kept his opponent on the back foot.
McCloy now looks to 2018 and a big fight within the middleweight division. Hear what he had to say to us.
AJ Faizy made his return to the ring after just over two years in an explosive performance against a very game Innocent Anyanwu. Both men landed some heavy shots and even a headbutt from Anyanwu. Ultimately Faizy was able to overcome his opponent to pick up the 59-55 win on referees card.

Mohammed Rashad picked up his second win in as many fights with a six round victory over Geiboord Omier, Rashad used his reach and height advantages to outbox the travelling opposition and now looks forward to 2018
