Kynoch Boxing Promotions: Burns Supper Card. “Drama at The Plaza”
Updated: Aug 7, 2019

This Friday 25th January marks the Kynoch Boxing Promotions Burns Supper card. Headlining the card at the Crowne Plaza Hotel will be Glasgow’s own former two time World Title Challenger Hannah Rankin (5-3). Rankin’s latest world title challenge saw her travel to Kansas, USA to fight the highly feared P4P superstar Claressa Sheilds. Although coming up short Rankins stock has risen considerably after a brave performance saw her lose only on the judges scorecards. Rankin is tipped to get back to the very pinnacle of the sport and will look to start that journey tomorrow night against Eva Bajic (14-15) of Hungary. The card also sees Johnstone’s undefeated Stefan Sanderson (5-0) defend his Scottish Area Super-Welterweight title against the ever tough Craig Kelly (11-12-1). Sanderson who won the title in September last year outpointing Paul Keen over ten tough rounds will be looking to make a statement and move on the bigger and better things, but first has to come through Kelly who has found a bit of form going undefeated in 2018. The card also sees a second professional bow for Flyweight Neil McCubbin (1-0) who takes on the only twice stopped Gary Reeve (2-18) and a run out for Glasgow’s ‘Black Assassin’ Ahmed Ibrahim (7-2-1) .
