LLOYD GERMAIN: "IT'S A NIGHT I WILL NEVER FORGET"

Cardiff welterweight Lloyd Germain made his professional debut on Saturday night on the “Rise To The Top” show promoted by Sanigar Events in Merthyr Tydfil. His first fight in the professional ranks was against Yorkshire fighter Danny Little (8-58-2)
Lloyd Germain took time out of his fight preparations to discuss his upcoming debut with me and we followed this up with a chat with Lloyd after winning his professional against Danny Little.
Germain, clearly delighted to have won and got his professional career off to a great start said
“Its a night I will never forget I'm over the moon!
I can't even put into words how I'm feeling I have full belief I was going to win all the hard work was done, just had to turn up an put on a win
Danny Little is a very experienced fighter, in his fight before fighting Germain Little beat another pro debutant Jay Platt , I asked Germain how he felt the fight went and how he dealt with Littles wealth of experience
"Credit to my opponent he was very game and made me work for the win, it was what we expected he was allot more experienced but my boxing ability was better"
The joy on the face of Germain was evident when the scorecard was read out, although Germain won the fight nothing is certain on the scorecard until its announced.
Germain jumped with joy and ran to the corner to celerbrate with his army of fans who had made the journey from Cardiff to Merthyr to support their man,

Germain explained how it felt to win his professional debut
"I'm very pleased to get the win, it means everything to me.
"You only have one chance to make a first impression and there was no way I was making a bad one!"
Training in St Joesphs under the the tutorlidge of Tony Borg, where Germains team mates include former World champion Lee Selby. Germain explained how thankful he was to have got the win and also how he was going to celebrate
“It's my birthday next Sunday so will have a week out of the gym to have a little down time and enjoy the win, but I will be straight back in starting where I left off and gearing towards September 28th for my second outing!”
After his exciting performance on Saturday night, Lloyd Germain looks set to continue to entertain his legion of fans again on September 28th!
